Lorenzo Banchero owner and president of Banchero Costa finanziaria s.p.a. He started in 1968 with partner Umberto Costa and developped into the shipping service. In 1999 acquired Umberto Costa’s shares becoming in 2000 chairman of Banchero-Costa group. In 2011 appointed “Cavaliere del Lavoro” by the President of the Italian Republic (honour bestowed upon those who have developed important and high-value projects which have an influence on the economic, occupational and social development of Italian nation).
Piermichele Bernardo is CEO of IBC Lugano, he co-founded in June 2000. He gained experience in the insurance industry and is active in the brokerage for 25 years. Michael Buisset has over 11 years experience in shipping and trade dispute resolution and was based in HFW’s Singapore office for about 7 years. Michael relocated to the Geneva office in January 2015 and has worked in London, Singapore and Geneva handling shipping and international trade matters as an English qualified solicitor. He is also qualified as a French Avocat. As a native French and German speaker, Michael practices in English, French and German. As part of his shipping practice, Michael advises shipowners, charterers and P&I Clubs on all aspects of dry shipping litigation and arbitration, including charterparties, bills of lading, ship sale and purchase, marine insurance (hull, cargo and P&I) and contracts of affreightment. As part of his commodities practice, Michael advises commodity traders, producers, financiers and insurers on all aspects of their business, including international sale of goods, commodity trading contracts for most soft and hard commodities, transportation and letters of credit issues. Francesco Foti (Diamond Laser Invest)
Born in Reggio Calabria on June 6, 1947, Francesco built his early professional experience in the marketing offices of multinational corporations across various Italian and European cities. In 1973, following a true passion, he dedicated himself to the world of luxury goods, through the creation and launch of a number of enterprises. A keen observer of social phenomena, client needs and technological innovation, he created in 1995 the revolutionary laser certification system for diamond, known as “Diamond Laser System,” which allows to identify in permanent fashion a unique gem, without compromising its aesthetics and structure. Among the world top experts in gems and in particular diamonds and pearls, Francesco has published numerous times, including his key work “The Lord of Pearls” and “The Lord of Diamonds.” He currently serves as Strategic Director in one of the most active companies in the world of diamonds, and has been the engine behind a relentless effort of promotion of the diamond in general and of its “DIAMOND LASER INVEST” product in particular.
